Universal Lies

Don't judge my lack of dedication to my blog this week. Life has been eating my lunch and then some.

So this week I thought I would think up a list of universal lies. No matter how you spin it, these are always falsities ...

1.  I'll start my diet tomorrow
2.  I'm not drunk.
3. I won't hurt you.
4. She's just a friend.
5. I lost your number.
6. The government is here to help you.
7. I worked out already today.
8. I need time for myself.
9. It's not you, it's me.
10. That was my last piece of gum.
11. I'm listening.
12. Let's stay friends.
13. We didn't do anything.
14. It wasn't that expensive.
15. You're the best I ever had.
16. I didn't lose it.
17. I'm on my way.
18. It wasn't me.
19. No, I'm not gay!
20. I have read and agreed to the Terms of Service.

I will be posting this weeks obsessions tomorrow! Don't freak out.

If You Seek Amy

A beautiful afternoon on this shitty Munders. I am hoping everyone had a fantastic weekend and got outside to enjoy the gorgeous weather! So, yesterday marked the end of the 11 day festival-extravaganza, Summerfest. Of course I tried to get down by the lakefront as much as I possibly could... and my attempt resulted in a success this year. Here is the lowdown of everyone I saw perform. Don't be too jealous.

Jack's Mannequin - I've been a fan since middle school. There is nothing this strawberry blond cutie can do wrong in my eyes. His lyrics are filled with passion, love, emotion and damn... he is a performer.

GirlTalk - Alright, I had no idea who this band or whatever the heck it is, was until I got to the stage. I though we were seeing Third Eye Blind and oh dear God was I wrong. So this GirlTalk is supposedly just a DJ that plays remixed songs. Old, new, whatever. From what I've heard, he's really big down South and just goes from college campus to campus playing for house parties and stuff. Okay.... I could do his job. And why have him at Summerfest? It was lame. I would have rather poked my eyes out with a dull knife.

Maroon 5 - Do I really need to say anything here? Adam Levine is sexy. And writes all of their songs. Herego, the concert was completely and utterly epic. They are a great live band and I am without a doubt, a life long fan.

Phil Vassar - I have seen Phil probably 4 or 5 times at Summerfest already. And he honestly gets better and better every year. The crowd is great and it's a two hour party. Don't miss it!

G. Love - We went to this show last Friday night while everyone was at Katy Perry. This guy is awesome. Not sure if I ever heard of him before this, but I am definitely a fan. And the show was great! The crowd was crazy and hilarious. I would definitely go to this show again.

Jason Aldean - He is phenomenal. All I have to say.

Britney Spears - She is a gift from God. Honestly. Anyone who gives her crap for any reason needs to shut up. It is so obvious how much time and effort and money she puts into her show and her personal performance. I give her a ton of credit and have a new found respect for the single mom. LEAVE BRITNEY ALONE!

Brantley Gilbert - I had never heard of him before a week or two ago, and now I can confidently say I am huge fan. His genuine lyrics, danceable melodies and impeccable stage presence will make him a huge country star. Keep an out for him in the near future everyone!

So now that you have my list of newly favorited artists on iTunes, you will get my bi-weekly list. I know, I know I'm cramming so much into this one post but I haven't blogged in a while.
Alright. My list on this beautiful Munders is everything that is pissing me of right now. Maybe a complete 180 turn but, things need to be said.

1. People. So annoyed with everyone. Although I must admit, I am pretty flattered at how interested i MY life some people are. But honestly, I don't care who you are, don't go out of your way to ruin someone's day. Grow up. Move on. Be a decent person. One thing in particular comes to mind .... "If someone is trying to bring you down, it just means you're already above them."

2. Work. I love my job. But I am exhausted. I am burning the candle from both ends lately and need a break. OH! I'm going to Winona for a little R&R next weekend. Much needed. Problem solved.

3.  Summerfest is over! How annoying. Now I don't have a reason to dress up, grab drinks and listen to great music! Good thing state fair is just around the corner.

4. My hair. All this humidity and the bad haircut I got a few weeks ago is forcing me to wear my hair up 75% of the time lately. It has been crazy and wild and I might actually be loving it. As India.Arie would put it..... I am my hair.

5. Ignorance. I am so completely sick of people's ignorance and inability to act mature. I might be sounding repetitive of myself in #1 of this list, but I need to make my point clear. I try my hardest to throw the cold shoulder towards people who try to bring me down. At this point, I need my closest friends the most. And thank goodness I am so blessed in the good friend department. I thank God everyday for the people in my life and this weekend just proved how much they are really there for me. I have been best friends with Jackie since seventh grade and no matter how long of a time we spend apart, the second we see each other, something clicks and we are able to read each other's minds. She has helped me through so many difficult things in my life and I know we are always there and can count on one another. We are experiencing a similar hatred for ignorance lately and have devised a plan to take the high road when it comes to other people's immaturity and rudeness. We will see how it goes :)

p.s. 3 DAYS UNTIL HARRY POTTER AND THE DEATHLY HALLOWS PART 2 AT MIDNIGHT. I'm pretty excited.

I'm Bigger Than My Body Gives Me Credit For

First off, HAPPY HUMP DAY!
I hope everyone had a great Fourth of July and I really really hope everyone's week is going by faster than mine. Sluggish is an understatement.

So if you read any of my blogs, follow me on Twitter, or are my Facebook friend, you will know that I definitely go through phases of obsessions. In lieu of my newly sparked interests, I thought I would add onto my bi-weekly lists by doing a bi-weekly obsession list. It might flop... but I am relatively over it.

There is something about this spring and summer that make me fall in love with pastels and floral prints.  It might look like my great-grandma's couch, but I really don't care because I keep seeing vintage florals everywhere! I have seen sunglasses, platforms, hand bags… and now nails.  I couldn’t be more thrilled about this.  So when I stumbled across what is sure to be my next manicure I knew I had to share with you all.  If you have ever attempted to paint leopard spots on your nails you know that intricate designs like this are challenging, but doable.  If you want to try this look on your own nails get a tiny paintbrush (the brush that comes with the polish will be too thick) and use the nail polish as if it were paint. You can do any color or design you like. ADORBS.

THE NEW FRIZZ. Bobs with an imperfect, slightly frizzy finish. I don’t know what it is about this look, but I’m completely obsessed. It appears romantic, slept on + soft. It creates a glowing halo in the sun. Sometimes hair is the most beautiful when you just let it do its own thing. This makes me so happy because if this look is glamorous, I am looking like an A-lister just by waking up in the morning!

These nails from YSL make me so happy. Only problem? They are YSL... and I'm a college student. You do the math.

VINTAGE CAMERAS! Not only are they adorable and the most perfectly hipster accessory, but the quality of the photos are perfectly vintage, natural and beautiful. I found an old film SLR camera of my grandma's down in my basement a few weeks back and the only problem with it is finding film to fit! I can't wait to get my hands on the trigger.

Bows look good with any look. Need I say more?

Alexander McQueen ANYTHING. It might just be the hype surrounding the newly opened exhibit at The Met, but I have found a supreme passion for everything labeled "McQueen."

Happy Birthday 'Merica

Congrats on turning 235 to the U.S of A. Here goes my bi-weekly list of things I on my mind.

1. Festival Food. Cheese curds, cotton candy, lemonade, mini donuts. Need I say more?

2. Fireworks! That part when you can feel your insides shake from the boom of the firework.... priceless. I love it. Not to mention laying on a blanket in a park cuddling up to a lover. That's just an added bonus.

3. Bedraces. I'm like 98.7% sure that Hales Corners is the only city in the country that has done these bedraces. Drunk old men and kids in overly patriotic costumes... there is nothing better.

4. The weather. AMEN. It is finally starting to feel like summer in the ol' Midwest. 80 degrees and sunny today. Let's get our tan lines on, shall we?

5. Friends and Family. This holiday was made for forcing you into seeing people you haven't been in touch with all year. We have our friends. Then we have our Fourth of July friends.

A Case of the Munders

3 o'clock in the afternoon and I am still overwhelmingly exhausted from the weekend. Somehow, being the college student that I am, I shouldn't be surprised. Monday is without a doubt the worst day of the week. Every day has it's pro's and con's, but nothing even competes with Monday. Even though the pain of the relentless work week is upon us, the weekend was nothing short of incredible.
Here's the play-by-play.

1. Country USA. Is it odd that every time I try to spell Country is comes out Cunty? Oops. Either way you spell it, it was a damn good time. We saw a tid-bit of the dashingly handsome Easton Corbin on Friday night, who was followed by Rascal Flatts. Can't say I'm the hugest Rascal Flatts fan, but Life is a Highway just gets me every time! Saturday night brought the talents of Josh Turner and Lady Antebellum. Okay, no need to even explain here. Josh = romantically sexy. Lady A = straight up sexy and great jams. Need I say more?

2. Food. Typical me, right? This weekend consisted of a Applebee's, Texas Roadhouse and carnival food. Orgasmic.

3. Not having to work. Explanation is not needed here.

4. Oshkosh Outlets. Of course I went shopping on my mini vacation this weekend! Didn't even have to think twice about it! Found some good deals.... duh. Loved every second of it....duh.

5. The weather. I was so worried all week that we would get rained on at CUSA. But fortunately, it was only muddy and not raining :) Amen to that.

6. Summerfest. This week the week I've been waiting for since last July! I can't wait for Maroon 5, Britney Spears, Panic at the Disco, The Wailers, Goo Goo Dolls blah blah blah. It's going to be an exciting two weeks and I can't wait to listen to some great jams and see old friends.

7. Rent is due Friday.... DON'T FORGET

8. I got an e-mail from the athletic director of my high school today and he wants me to work with a few kids and do strength and conditioning with them after work a few days a week. Hmmm. Potential to get my beach bod back? I think so. It will be fun, entertaining and definitely worth my while. Bring it on Ike weight room.

9. I'm still on the hunt for the perfect school. I'm meeting my dad for lunch on Wednesday to talk about what I want to do with my life and if transferring would be the best thing for me right now. My thought is that this WSU closing scare was a sign that I'm not supposed to be in Minnesota. I have no idea where I'm supposed to be.... but time will only tell. And I have no doubt that my gypsy heart will find it's direction someday. I trust myself way too much.

10. Spent all day at work online shopping.... I have a problem. First step to beating addiction: Admitting you have a problem.

There's something about, baby, you and I

Happy Friday y'all!

Typically Friday is the day everyone looks forward to all week long, but this week was especially excruciating. I and THRILLED beyond any belief that this day is finally here.

After running a few errands and packing up my life, I am Country USA bound. Oshkosh, Wisconsin may not know what's coming! Today we are seeing Easton Corbin and Rascal Flatts and tomorrow is Josh Turner and Lady A! I could not be happier to have the opportunity to take this mini vacation right now.

BUT... before I leave, some things need to get done. And unfortunately, since I just had the busiest week of my life, I need to find a few outfits for this weekend. Ideally, I will find a new bag, belt, dress, shoes, etc in the next hour once I get out of work. I am on a mission. I need to be THEE best looking cowgirl in the state of Wisconsin. And with my ability to power-shop. I am not too worried :)

I hope everyone has a fantastic weekend and I will post pictures from the weekend's festivities on Monday! Peace and Blessings!

We All Got A Hillbilly Bone

Happy Thursday everyone! It's that time of the week again. Stuck in limbo between hell week and the best weekend of your life. And more than ever, my mind is reeling with randomness. Well here is my bi-weekly list... don't get too bored!

1. Country USA is this weekend! My lover and I are Oshkosh bound tomorrow after work and will be enjoying the musical styling of Rascal Flatts, Lady Antebellum, Josh Turner, Easton Corbin and many more. What am I looking forward to the most? Beer. Big trucks. Cowboy boots. And not having a care in the world.

2. My kids volleyball camp ends today! Usually, I love the kids and I love this camp... but this year things have changed. St. Mary's wouldn't allow Megz and I to run the camp ourselves, so we have this douche Brian helping out. He believes himself to be God's gift to volleyball. The most disappointing part about all of this is when he deprives the kids of learning the game of volleyball. Yesterday was the third day of camp and it was the first time the girls actually played the game. FIRST TIME. Okay I'll stop ranting. At least we're making a solid profit from this!

3. Hair dye on my head tonight! Thank Jesus. These roots are an embarrassment.

4. Nail polish on my fingers and toes tonight! Once again, thank Jesus.

5. McGriddles. Yes, I had one for breakfast this morning. It tasted like absolute heaven.... but I've been wanting to throw up all day. Worth it? Hell yeah.

6. Blurry future. Once again, thinking about my life and how boring it is. My father and I are meeting for lunch tomorrow to talk about transferring and what not. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE Winona. It is a great city and a great school and I love everything about it. But here's what gets me... the people are all the same. And I need some change. I have an undying lust to meet new, fun and INTERESTING people.

7. I hate doctors. Just thought I'd throw that out there.

8. This weather is totally bunko. Where is summer when I need it the most? Really?

9. I love my family. They better embrace this moment because it is a rare moment in Krissy history that I actually say this out loud. Don't get me wrong, I appreciate everything they have ever done for me. But they are absolutely insane.

10. Fashion. It makes me who I am. And lately my obsession has been overwhelming.... even for me. My heart skips a beat whenever I see a pair on pale pink Prada's. And my stomach leaps for an over-sized Marc Jacobs bag. It's almost pathetic.

11. I am craving Olive Garden like no other right now. Soup. Salad. Breadsticks. Heaven.

12. I need a vacation. Bad. So if anyone wants to take me to Mexico, Hawaii, Brazil, Australia.... that would be cool with me.

13. Tomorrow is... Friday. Tomorrow is... Pay day.

14. I am in crazy mad love. Have I mentioned that? Yeah. Don't make fun of me. It's the forever kind of love.

15. ONLY TEN HOURS UNTIL IT'S FRIDAY! Can I get an AMEN?!

Glorious Mid-Day Lull

Not completely positive on how much I hate today, all I know is that I really need it to end. I won't ever be the person to complain about my job because, well.... I am thanking God I have something that pays the bills and supports my outrageous shopping addiction. But the monotony of my day to day life is starting to drive me up the wall. Such a gorgeous day and I couldn't spend more than my lunch break outside. Not to mention that the construction outside my office building has been shaking my desk for the past 5 hours, giving me the world's most massive headache.

There is a light at the end of the tunnel! It is Thursday. One more day until a little break from reality. One more day until Chicago. One more day until I can relax and forget about the corporate grind.

My brain is so numb right now that I made another list of things on my mind today...

1. This weather is bunko. One day it's 90 and sunny. The next it's 50 and rainy. Need I say more? Midwestern nonsense.
2. Crystal Light. I don't know what this stuff is made out of but it taste like Nirvana. I've down 3 Nalgene bottles today. 96 ounces of glory.
3. Roadtrip. Chi-town this weekend baby! I really have nothing to say about that except that I'm thrilled to be getting out of New Berlin for a little while.
4. CollegeKnowledge. I spent my afternoon researching schools to transfer to. Oops.
5. Annoying men. Good God leave me alone creepy people. Real Talk. I'm so sick of guys being nasty. Okay I'm done with that.
6. Matt Damon and Jeff Bridges. Yes. Redboxed True Grit last night. Fantastic in every which way. I must admit though, I am a huge sucker for Western movies. My extensive collection of John Wayne will prove that.
7. Why is my phone battery dying so fast lately?
8. So this might sound a tad bit ignorant and naive, but I think I have learned more about the professional world of PR and Marketing in the past month than I ever have learned in the last two years of school. Wow. Mindblowing.
9. I hate that I'm not 21 yet.
10. In 3 days it will be 2 months until my birthday! Coolz

I love you. In case you didn't already know.

I just hope you miss me a little when I'm gone

It's Hump Day already everyone! Definitely a day to celebrate. Only 2 more days left in the week, and I mean, Friday barely counts anyways, right? :)

Just remembered that I will be making a little trip-a-roo to the wonderful Chi-town this up-coming weekend. Yes, yes. I am going to be the great big sister I am and support Jenna at her volleyball tournament, BUT.... it's about to be a shopping extravaganza once my mother and I step onto Michigan Avenue. Wendy and I are meeting Mike and Jenna down there on Saturday morning and I can't wait! Although I usually dread the monotony of these family outings, Chicago is a fun town and we all love it. My club volleyball team made it to the Asics Nationals tournament at Navy Pier 4 years ago and it was fantastic. There is so much to do and so much to see and not to mention, the tournament t-shirts are stellar. So, all in all. This weekend should be interesting and I'm thrilled to see what's in store.

Happy Tears

http://blog.metmuseum.org/alexandermcqueen/

IS THIS A SICK JOKE

After seeing this exhibit, my life would probably be complete.
So any takers on who wants to take me.
Birthday present possibly?
I'll let you ponder the fate of my happiness a little longer....

Ahh Yes

Starting from zero got nothing to lose, maybe we'll make something. Me myself I got nothing to prove.

Congratulations on making it to this lovely Tuesday everyone!

It's almost way too early to be spilling my guts so today I'll portray my mood through a visual montage. Don't laugh. I don't have energy.

This was the first thing to put a smile on my face this morning... therefore, it deserves some credit.

Alright, this is beautiful. And was taken in Boston... It's like they know I'm coming or something! Seriously.

REALLY?! Stop being so perfect, Adam. But really, 18 days until I see my favorite band in concert. Epic-ness at it's finest. Without question.

Mhmmmmm shoes :) They make me so happy. Like, so SO happy. Don't ask why. I like to refer to my obsession as more of a weakness for really expensive shoes. Oh well.

And seriously, whoever owns this closet. I love you.
Saw Water for Elephants last night. Awesome. I would definitely recommend it to anyone. Okay Reese was gorgeous as always. And even the annoying vampire guy was good! Surprising. In a good way. Loved it.

It's Mumford.... Had to put it on here.

MUSTACHES. So weird and so funny. I love it.

Well that's what's going on in my head at 9:36 in the morning on a Tuesday. I'm a little weird. So get over it. I literally have nothing to do at work today so I'll be blowing up every social network that has my name on it. Have a jolly day y'all!

"I think I need a new town, and leave this all behind."

Happy Munders Everyone!

Another day, another dollar I suppose. As I sit, lonely, in the front of the office today, I can't help but to daydream about semi- outrageous things in my life. Here's a few things of the things on my mind....

1. I need coffee. Stat. I was not built to function this early.
2. Why does my chapstick suck?
3. I should have eaten a better breakfast. This pill-cocktail in my stomach isn't feeling to comfy right about now.
4. Should I go out for lunch or stay in the office?... Fazoli's sounds like heaven right now. Real Talk. Hmmmm breadsticks. Yup. It's been decided.
5. I need to stop and get toothpaste after work.
6. EW DOCTOR'S APPOINTMENT AT 4:30. I hate doctors. I can't stand the way my doctor smells. Or how cold his hands are. Or how jiggly his double chin is. Or how perfectly quaff his hair is. Or how he always talks about his stupid son and how we would be perfect for each other. And I really cannot stand how he tries to make small talk when he has the popsicle stick down my throat looking for strep. Really? Shut up. I hate doctors. I'm praying to get a anti-biotic prescription and get the hell out of there.
7. If I survive the smell of the doctor, I am rewarding myself with a trip to The Lube. Lube chips and onion rings, I'm coming for you.
8. I applied for an internship in Washington D.C. PRAYING that something becomes of it.
9. Secretly hoping that Winona State ends up closing so I'll have an actual excuse to move out of this godforsaken state.
10. Why have I been coming up with weird theories lately? Am I in a constant haze of drunken stupor? Seriously...
11. Everyone is so bitter about the Dallas/ Miami game last night. SHUT UP. Yes, I love basketball. Yes, I can appreciate pure athletic talent. Yes, I was cheering for the Celtics even though they weren't on the court.... Whatever. All you bitter people need to get the hell over it. The game is over. The Mav's scored more points, and usually, that means they would win. And well deserved if I say so myself.
12. Met Ryan Grant when I was working at the Mustangs game this weekend. Nice guy. Nice looking guy. Nice body on a nice guy. Need I say more?
13. I wish I would have slept more last night. My head is pounding.
14. Arnold Palmer's are delicious.
15. Speaking of Arnold Palmer... anyone down to go golfing soon? Bueller...Bueller?
16. I need new shoes. Sorry... I want new shoes. My obsession with online shopping is growing with every dollar I earn at work. Good or bad? I'll let you know.
17. This weather is taking a massive deuce on my mood lately. Early last week I was loving the actual SUMMER weather. You know, 85 and sunny? And all weekend it was a glorious 50 degrees and rainy. Yum. Why did I work so hard for this bikini body if I'll never actually get into anything except jeans and a sweatshit?
18. I wish the smell of my new lotion could be like tattooed on my body or something. White tea and jasmine for life.
19. Just saw a girl running outside my office in a sports bra and running shorts. Yeah, I do it all the time, but this girl needs a shirt. Ew.
20. I can't wait to get paid on Friday.

I could go on for days.
Let's make it through the week everyone!

I love them.
I want that fairytale.

Good Morning Y'all

Good morning lovahs!

Yes, the weather is totally bunko today, but let's stay optimistic, right?

So, the construction outside my building is getting a little out of hand....
Today they have a truck with a giant hammer breaking up concrete. Really? At 8am? Really?
And to top it all off, no attractive construction workers! If you're going to be pissing me off and giving me a shitty view out my office window for the next 3 months, at least have some good looking employees. Damn.

Right, so I got an e-mail on Tuesday from the VP of Winona State saying that no one knows if the school will be open after July 1st. Okay, so let me get this straight. You just built a 45 million dollar wellness facility. You raised tuition since my Freshmen year. Blah blah blah. And now you don't have enough money to fund another semester? Yes, this totally sucks and is the definition of short notice, but it has got me thinking. My whole life, I've always been told that I am destine for bigger and better things. Maybe this is a sign that I'm not supposed to be at Winona. So at this point, if Winona State closes or not, I am considering doing something bigger and better with my life at 19 years old.

So this has me thinking, I am happy about so many things in my life at this point. Let's review, shall we?

1. Threat of Winona closing- Yeah I just ranted about this. But I'm so happy that it's forcing me to think about doing something more exciting with my life. It kicked my brain into gear and made me consider things like transferring somewhere more exciting, Boston, backpacking through Europe, living with Grandpa in Florida, move to a bigger city, make my internship a full time thing, blah blah blah

2. Summer!- The greatest season is upon us! Sunshine, less clothes, bikinis, Corona, Bob Marley, sweet tea, music festivals, the beach, driving with the windows down, bare legs, more daylight..... Need I go on?! Buh bye seasonal depression. I am all smiles.

3. Boston- Yes, it's been a childhood dream of mine to move to Boston and do crazy, city-life things. But it might actually become a reality for me. It's a lot closer than I thought! I have recently applied to Boston College, UMASS-Boston, and Emerson. Oh yeah, and I might be getting into collegiate athletics once again :) Life is good.

4. My job- I am SOOOO thankful in this aspect of my life. I am so blessed to have the opportunities I have this summer. I have the most kick-ass internship with the Milwaukee Mustangs and it has definitely given me a lot of insight into what I might want to do with my life after college and it's exciting :) And I love what I'm doing for my uncle's company. All I do is sit at a desk and work on marketing and media stuff for 8 hours a day. It's a dream! Oh and not to mention is pays the bills.... and pays for a new wardrobe. Oops :) My closet is getting massive. I love it. There is nothing better than having to run to Target and buy more hangers for new clothes! Remind me to sign up for shoppers anonymous. Real Talk.

There are so many more things I am thrilled about, but it's way too early to be typing this much. Have a great day my dears!

Obsession

Yes. I am obsessed with a bike. BUT this bike has a basket and pretty flowers on it....so shut up.

Elephants. OBSESSED! Don't judge me. They're cute.

Always been obsessed with Peter Pan. The spontaneity, the adventure, the fantasy. I want it all.

Keep Calm and Read On

CHILDREN!
Yes, yes. I do have about 4 other blogs I could release mental energy onto, but a blogspot seemed like a great idea :)

The number of things going on in my life right now are absolutely infinite. I have so much to think about and so many life changing decisions to make in the next 3 months! To move, or not to move? To pursue my selfish dreams, or take my loved ones into consideration? To grow up and get a head start in the real world, or live with my parents....? Yeah. Exactly.

Lots of interesting posts to come!

Pinky Promises.
